Botulinum toxin injections

Botulinum toxin injections have been used in aesthetic medicine for more than 20 years to eliminate expression lines and treat increased perspiration (on the palms, soles of the feet, underarms).

The main groups of available treatments are: Botox (Allergan), Dysport (Ipsen), and Xeomin (Merz).

The actual differences among these treatments will depend on the individual characteristics of each patient.

Application zones: forehead wrinkles, the corners of the eyes, the bridge and arch of the nose, the upper lip.

The preparation is inserted into the muscles using incredibly thin needles. It starts working on average after 7-14 days. Both shallow and deep wrinkles are smoothed out, and the surface of the skin becomes even. The effect lasts an average of 6 months, after which the procedure must be repeated. To achieve a long-lasting, steady effect, we recommend that you undergo the treatment 2-3 times per year.

Regular Botox injections provide support for the muscles, which evens out wrinkles of any depth and prevents new ones from forming.

Dysport (botulinum toxin Beafour-Ipsen-Speywood, France) is ideal for treating hyperhidrosis (excessive perspiration) in the underarm region. The effects of the treatment last for 12-18 months.
